Limited Warranty

We stand behind what we build

Every Secret Sauna Company sauna is backed by our 2-5 Limited Warranty. We build to last decades; the warranty reflects that confidence.

2-Year Workmanship

For two years from the date of delivery, we warrant that your sauna is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance. This covers:

  • Interior and exterior cladding
  • Bench construction and hardware
  • Door assembly and seals
  • Insulation and vapor barrier
  • Roofing and weatherproofing
  • Finishes and trim

If a defect in workmanship appears within this period, we will repair or replace the affected component at no cost.

5-Year Structural

For five years from the date of delivery, we warrant the structural integrity of your sauna. This covers:

  • Framing and load-bearing members
  • Substructure and foundation system
  • Structural fasteners and connections
  • Skid or trailer frame (SSC-fabricated components)

If a structural defect compromises the safety or integrity of your sauna within this period, we will repair or replace the affected structural element at no cost.

Third-Party Electrical Certification

Every wired sauna leaves our shop with a third-party electrical inspection and certification. An independent, licensed inspector verifies all wiring, connections, and components before delivery. You receive full documentation for your records, your insurance provider, and any future permitting needs.

Third-Party Component Warranties

Several components in your sauna carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we pass through to you:

Heaters

Harvia, Homecraft, Kuuma, and HUUM heaters are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties. We can assist with any warranty claims on your behalf.

Electrical & Hardware

Controllers, panels, and specialty hardware carry manufacturer warranties. Standing seam metal roofing panels carry a manufacturer warranty of up to 40 years depending on the product selected.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Normal wear and aging of wood (patina, minor checking, heat discoloration)
  • Damage from improper use, neglect, or lack of maintenance
  • Modifications or repairs performed by others after delivery
  • Damage from improper site preparation or placement
  • Windows and glass (thermal cycling stress)
  • Trailer components not fabricated by SSC (axles, tires, couplers)
  • Cosmetic imperfections inherent to natural wood (knots, grain variation, color variation)
  • Damage caused by acts of nature, fire, or flooding

Maintenance Requirements

Warranty coverage requires that your sauna is maintained according to the care instructions provided at delivery. This includes regular cleaning, proper ventilation after use, and periodic inspection of exterior finishes. Every sauna ships with a detailed owner's manual covering weekly, monthly, and seasonal maintenance.

Making a Claim

If you believe your sauna has a warrantable defect, contact us directly. Include photos of the issue and a brief description. We will assess the claim and, if covered, arrange repair or replacement at a time that works for you.
